So far, I have been using
k9copy for shrinking and ripping and
brasero (previously bonfire) for straight ripping, however, there are many others. Plus, k9copy is native to KDE even though it will run on gnome. Therefore, check Assente's list of the
"10 Best" linux DVD ripping applications.
